Pandos present at Michigan Rheumatism Society meeting
Jose Pando, MD, an integrative rheumatologist practicing in Lewes, and Catherine Welton Pando, RN, HTCP, founder and coordinator of the Lewes Wellness Center, took part in the Integrative Rheumatology Workshop at the Michigan Rheumatism Society meeting held June 20-23.
Integrative medicine incorporates state-of-the-art rheumatological care along with mind-body-spirit modalities and awareness. Presenters were board-certified rheumatologists Jose Pando; Dr. George Munoz of Miami; and Dr. Nisha Manek of Los Angeles. All have completed the integrative fellowship training at the University of Arizona, Andrew Weil Center of Integrative Medicine. Topics discussed were movement, nutrition and the microbiome, mindfulness, inflammaging, longevity and breathwork.
